Reports

A report in printable format (.pdf file) is produced for every aircraft accident or serious incident investigated. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to read and print out these reports.

The report is normally written in the language of the region where the accident took place. Some reports are available in English. The title of the report indicates the available languages.

Different reports are available, depending on the status of the investigation:

• The notification informs about an accident or a serious incident and that an investigation has been opened. A notification is also issued for an accident or serious incident abroad involving an aircraft registered in Switzerland.
• The investigation report is written by the AAIB. It is only published if an application for further review has been submitted to the Federal Aircraft Accident Review Board.
• The final report. If no application for further review has been submitted to the Federal Aircraft Accident Review Board, the investigation report becomes the final report. Ig an application for review has been submitted, the final report is written by the Federal Aircraft Accident Review Board.
